The Stuff on Stuff

This Story of Stuff is a great short film on the effects of “stuff” in society. Materialism, consumption, sustainability, consumer thinking…these are all part of our never-ending desire for stuff. This video could lead into a great discussion on how stuff runs our lives.

One good opener question would be to ask students, “When was the last time you went an entire day without buying anything?”

The “Story of Stuff” is humorous, engaging, provocative, and full of information…

Hi. I really enjoyed the film. I would like to show it to the students I work with but I am wondering if you have other questions that you have used and if there are any related scriptures? I could make up some questions and find scirpture, of course. However, I am a fan of not re-doing work that has already been done too.
